GyanMagnus Associates (GMA), a boutique law, tax and financial advisory based in Kochi, has done it a second time and on a bigger scale this year.

It provided back office research and data mining for Hurun Global Rich List 2013, an expanded and wider list of the global rich.

CHINESE MAGAZINE

Hurun Report is a leading luxury and lifestyle magazine based in China. Last year, it had made official entry into India with an India Rich List.

The Hurun Global Rich List 2013 ranked 1,453 dollar billionaires in the world, Anas Rahman Junaid, Chairman and Chief Executive, GMA, told Business Line.

But it estimated that there are 4,000 dollar billionaires around the globe.

More are listed on China’s stock exchanges than US exchanges (212 individuals compared with 211 in the US.)

This is the first time that Hurun Report has released a ranking of the dollar billionaires in the so-called ‘nine-zero club.’

This follows ranking last year of the ‘ten-zero club’, the 83 individuals with $10 billion, Junaid said.
