THe Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Monday after the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan expressed her inability to bring the lower house to order for taking up the notice on a no-confidence motion against the Government. Her efforts to get the slogan-shouting AIADMK members to get back to their seats proved futile.
Soon after the lower house re-assembled at noon, the papers relating to various ministries were placed on the table of the house by various ministers and members. This was done even as AIADMK members were in the well shouting slogans and demanding justice. The Speaker later adjourned the lower house for the day without taking up any Bills for introduction or passage.
