Matrimony.com, an online provider of matrimony-related services, reported 88 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at ₹17 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2018, compared with ₹9 for the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue increased by 12 per cent to ₹84 crore (₹75 crore) due to a 12 per cent growth in matchmaking services. For the fiscal ended March 31, 2018, net profit increased by 72 per cent to ₹74 crore (₹43 crore) on 15 per cent increase in revenue to ₹335 crore (₹292 crore).
Matchmaking services in fourth quarter increased to ₹81 crore (₹72 crore) and for the year it was ₹320 crore (₹280 crore).
In the fourth quarter, the company acquired secondshaadi.com, an exclusive portal for divorcees and combined with its existing portal divorceematrimony.com. to become one of the leading players in this.
