The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given its nod for a six- month extension to the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director Rajiv Jain.
Jain’s tenure was to end on December 30. The committee has also decided to grant a six-month extension to A K Dhasmana, Secretary of the Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) .
Meanwhile, Anil Srivastava, who is currently the Advisor, NITI Aayog has been re-designated as the Principal Advisor at the government think-tank.
