Tamilnadu Foodgrains Merchants have welcomed the measures announced in the address by President Pranab Mukerjee in Parliament, the first under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP Government.
In a letter addressed to the President, the association President, SP Jeyaprakasam, made a plea for inclusion of Madurai among the 100 cities proposed to be built with world-class amenities.
He also welcomedthe introduction of single-window system for industries, importance given to irrigation system under the “Prime Minister’s new irrigation scheme”and agri-rail network system.
