West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Saturday that block development officers (BDO) should actively cooperate to usher in development to the districts and rural parts of the State.
The chief minister shared her telephone number and e-mail ID to the BDOs and told them to get in touch with her directly to expedite developmental work.
She also sought telephone numbers and e-mail IDs from the BDOs to keep in touch with them. She was addressing the annual meeting of West Bengal Civil Service Officers Association at Town Hall in Kolkata.
Meanwhile, Banerjee told State Finance Minister Amit Mitra to speak to the Delhi Public School authorities for setting up “model schools” for children of the WBCS officers posted in remote areas.
