The Single Window Clearance Board has given permission for the construction of the first building of the SmartCity Kochi project.
The board, headed by P.H. Kurian, Principal Secretary, Information Technology, decided to give the building permit at its sitting on Monday. With this, the Rs 170-crore first building of the project has received all major regulatory permits.
Land development at the site has already begun and 130 trees there have been transplanted. The 6.5 lakh sq ft building is expected to be completed within 22 months.
