The Andhra Pradesh Government has cancelled the land allotment made to the Vanpic project in Guntur and Prakasham districts.
A decision on the cancellation was taken after the Cabinet sub-committee headed by the State Finance Minister Y Ramakrishnudu decided to cancel the lands allotted to the promoters as they had failed to implement the project for which the allotment was made by the Congress Government.
The project taken up by Nimmagadda Prasad ran into trouble for alleged irregularities, leading to a probe by the CBI.
The project was aimed at developing a port and industrial corridor.
