Andhra Pradesh will have a new industrial policy incorporating 11 sub-sectors like IT, Tourism etc, said Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu.
Releasing the White Paper today on industries, infrastructure & employment, he said the focus would be on identifying a few growth engines and developing them.
He said these `growth engines’ would be able to generate Rs 45,000 crore annually. The misrule of Cong(I) in the last decade has adversely impacted the brand image of the State and City, which has deterred investors who shifted to other states, Naidu alleged.
Land allotments
More than two lakh acres have been indiscriminately allocated to entities like VANPIC, Lepakshi etc. All the allotments will be reviewed soon. Some of them have damaged the reputation of officials and investment.
He said special hubs like `food processing’ in Anantapur –Chittoor, mega Food Park in Bhimavaram (500 acres) and `Smart City’ (for IT) in Visakhapatnam would be developed
