K Madhavan, Managing Director of Asianet Commnication Ltd, will be the sole representative from the southern region to the board of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation, and its director.
The foundation promotes the interests of television broadcasters in the country. It is involved in setting up the Broadcast Audience Research Council, a new apex body to provide official measurement of television audiences in India.
Madhavan is currently President of Kerala Television Federation, an organisation of television broadcasters of Kerala.
