The state-level convention of All India Public Sector & Central Govt Officers' Confederation (AIPCOC) has demanded that the Centre withdraw from its move to sell out the PSUs operating in Kerala.
CPSEs such as BEML, HNL and HLL had great influence on the economy and Kerala's development and the presence of these units gave hope to the educated youth of the State.
The AIPCOC meeting also requested the state government, political parties and the public to come out in support of strengthening these CPSEs and to retain them in the public sector.
AIPCOC is the national confederation of officers from the Central Government, banks, the insurance sector, railways and Central Public Sector Enterprises. The united organisation of officers has been formed with the broad perspective to collectively resist the anti-PSU policies that adversely affects the common man as well employees working in the sectors. The meeting was presided over by Anilkumar.G, National Joint Secretary AIPCOC.
