The fifth East Coast Maritime Summit, organised every year by a Hyderabad-based magazine, Maritime Gateway, is going to be held here on Feb 9 and 10, according to a press release issued by its editor, R. Ramprasad.
The theme of the summit will be "Rebooting business strategies". Representatives from all the major ports as well as non-major ports are participating in the two-day event. Over 300 delegates are expected to attend the event from within the country and also Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. There will be two business session as well as a CEOs' conclave to discuss various topics related to the industry. "The annual event is benefiting the shipping and trade community on the east coast," said Visakhapatnam port chairman M.T Krishna Babu.
