The RBI is scheduled to conduct its board meeting today. This will be the first board meeting under the new Governor Shaktikanta Das who assumed charge on Wednesday. Puducherry governmen t to convene a special assembly session today. This will be the first meeting of the Assembly after the Supreme Court ruling on the appointment of nominated legislators by the Centre. The one-day Assembly will also discuss the Mekedatu issue. The House is likely to adopt a resolution against the Centre’s approval to the Karnataka government to prepare DPR for its proposed dam across river Cauvery in Mekedatu.
