The Haryana Government will spend Rs 1,636.76 crore this fiscal on boosting agriculture production and ensuring smooth marketing of agri products.
“The amount will be spent during the current financial year,” Haryana’s Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies, Mr Gopal Kanda, said at Sirsa.
With a view to providing better facilities to the farmers and traders in ‘Anaj Mandis,’ the State Government has spent Rs 576 crore, he said.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the 3.7 km road between Khaja Khera to Salarpur in Sirsa district yesterday.
Mr Kanda said construction work on 1,260 km new roads, costing about Rs 378 crore, was being carried out by Haryana Agriculture Marketing Board.
