A truckload of eggs went up in flames on the Rau bypass road near here, on Wednesday morning, the police said. The truck was on its way from Dewas to Rau.
The truck driver and an attender escaped after halting the vehicle mid-way, Rajendra Nagar police station in-charge Dharmveer Singh told PTI.
A short circuit is suspected to be the reason behind the fire, he said. The exact loss of eggs in terms of rupees is yet to be ascertained, he said.
