Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi today congratulated BJD chief Naveen Patnaik and Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) supremo Pawan Chamling for taking over as Chief Ministers of Odisha and Sikkim.
“My congratulations to Shri Naveen Patnaik on being sworn in as Odisha CM. My best wishes & support for Odisha’s development journey”, Modi tweeted.
In another congratulatory message, he said “congratulations and best wishes to Shri Pawan Chamling on being sworn in as Sikkim CM. We will work together for Sikkim’s progress.”
BJP President Rajnath Singh also congratulated Patnaik for taking over chief minister of Odisha for a fourth successive term and Chamling as Sikkim Chief Minister for a fifth time.
“Congratulations to Shri Naveen Patnaik on becoming the Odisha Chief Minister for the fourth time. I extend my good wishes to Naveen Babu,” Rajnath said.
He also congratulated Chamling saying “Pawan Kumar Chamling was sworn in as Sikkim Chief Minister today for the fifth time. Congratulations and good wishes to him.”
The BJP chief will participate in the swearing-in of Anandiben Patel as chief minister of Gujarat succeeding Narendra Modi.
