Kerala has to do more innovation for branding for its authentic products like Matta rice, spices, masalas, coir, rubber etc, said Abhimanyu Mathur, Executive Vice-President, Lowe Lintas.
The State has built very few national brands. There is a great opportunity available for authentic Kerala brands which the State has not explored so far, he said at the Brand Conclave organised as part of CII Kerala annual meeting.
“It is important for strategic brand building for MSMEs and SMEs which needs branding the most. In an environment where customers have an endless parade of comparable products at their fingertips, it is essential for brands to create unique marketing connections,” said Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Deputy Chairman, CII-SR and CEO and MD, Lakshmi Machine Works Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore, in his inaugural address. According to Sajikumar, Chairman, CII Kerala State Council, brands creates a separate identity for competitors and helps to recall value for a product.
