The Jammu and Kashmir Government has formulated a project worth Rs 500 crore for getting water from river Chenab, which will solve the drinking water problem in the city, Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, said at a function here.
Jammu is facing a severe shortage of water supply.
He said the Mahamaya ropeway project for Jammu is also on the anvil to connect the city with Bahu fort and one of oldest temple complexes of Peerkho with Mahamaya city forest in Jammu.
