The Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan, participated in the ‘Swachcha Mangaluru’ campaign of Ramakrishna Mission on Sunday.
Ramakrishna Mission carried out ‘Swachcha Mangaluru for Swachcha Bharath’ cleanliness drive on the 10th consecutive Sunday on the April 5 at Kadri in Mangalore. This is a part of the 40-week cleanliness drive being organized by the Ramakrishna Mission. The drive was initiated on February 1.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan lauded the efforts of Mangaloreans in their contribution towards the nation.
Stating that ‘Swachcha Bharath Abhiyan’ should become a mass movement to ensure a clean and green nation, he appreciated the initiative of Ramakrishna Mission in this regard and asked people to join hands.
Swami Jitakamanandaji of Mangalore Ramakrishna Math, Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP from Mangaluru, JR Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South, Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLC, and H Kumar, Managing Director of MRPL, were present on the occasion.
