The total number of Covid-19 cases in India went up by nearly 67,000 to 23,96,638, of which 6,53,622 are active infections as on Thursday morning.
While 16,95,982 people recovered from the infection, as many as 47,033 people died so far.
The tally of total active infections went up by 9,674 even as 56,383 people recovered during the last 24 hours. The number of Covid-19 deaths since Wednesday was 942, according to data released by the Health Ministry.
Since March this year, the Centre distributed 3.04 crore N95 masks and more than 1.28 crore PPE kits to the States, Union Territories and Central institutions. Similarly, 22,533 made in India ventilators were also supplied to the States and UTs so far.
