The health insurance scheme of Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) for the family members of self-help groups (SHGs) promoted by it has completed a decade.

Quoting L.H. Manjunath, Executive Director of SKDRDP, a press release said here that Sampoorna Suraksha (health insurance) scheme has enrolled 11 lakh members for 2013-14, pooling in a premium of Rs 42 crore.

The scheme provides cashless hospitalisation facilities, maternity, accidental and death compensations to the enrolled members. In case of need, the insurance companies provide facilities of up to Rs 60,000 for any member in a family of six.

Stating that the scheme is run under the guidance of D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, Manjunath said it is managed by 60 members at Dharmasthala. The team consists of doctors and administrators.
