A delegation from the Uttarakhand State Industrial Development Corporation visited a start-up village here to study its functioning and examine the possibility of adopting the model in Uttarakhand.

R Rajesh Kumar, Managing Director of the corporation, and SL Semwal, General Manager, held discussions with start-up functionaries. Rajesh Kumar said he was impressed with the role played by the village in encouraging entrepreneurial talent in the domain of telecom and Internet.

“We will certainly explore the possibility of establishing a similar facility in Uttarakhand,” a press statement quoted him as saying.

The Andhra Pradesh government has already established an incubator in Visakhapatnam. Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh recently sent their officials to learn about the nuances of building a start-up ecosystem.
