The Ministry of Defence has transferred out Lt Gen Jatinder Singh as commandant of the National Defence Academy (NDA) to ensure free and fair investigation in the alleged bribery racket in the institution.
The Defence Minister, Mr A.K. Antony, had ordered the shifting of Lt Gen Singh to ensure that the probe by the anti-corruption bureau of the CBI in the graft case can proceed in a fair manner, a press release issued by the Defence Wing of the PIB said.
Two serving colonels have so far been arrested by the CBI in connection with an alleged scam in the recruitment of Group C posts in the National Defence Academy.
