These questions were among the many that Runal Dahiwade, quiz master from QuizWorks, posed before the 41 teams that participated in the Hyderabad round of the 16th edition of the BusinessLine Cerebration Quiz.

The regional round began with a preliminary test comprising 20 questions. The top six teams — Sai Mitra Constructions, RBI Hyderabad, Amazon India, APBHS, Osmania University and Adieu ED — reached the final round.

Closely-fought affair

The winner of the Hyderabad leg emerged after a tie-breaker in the final, which consisted of four rounds, with the last one being a buzzer round.

The teams got a total of eight questions each to score a maximum of 80 points with a negative of 10, for wrong answers.

Sai Mitra Constructions, represented by B Naveen Kumar and Ajit Kuncha, emerged on top and will now head to Mumbai to participate in the national finals on September 22.

The RBI team (Krishna Kant Prasad and Suvendu Pati) and Amazon India (K Arun and Sunil Rao) finished second and third, respectively, in the Hyderabad round.

The BusinessLine Cerebration Quiz is presented by Union Bank of India and powered by BSNL.

The other partners for the event included: NewsX (television partner); QuizWorks (quizzing partner); K Circle (Hyderabad Association partner) and Woot Factor (event manager).

The AGM of the Union Bank of India, R Rangaiah and the AGM of BSNL (Medchal), Hyderabad, D Koundilya Kumar gave away the prizes to the winners and runners up.
