Eminent scientists E.C.G. Sudarshan and M. Vijayan will be conferred the Kerala ‘Sasthrapuraskaram’ for the years 2011 and 2012 respectively.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will give away the awards instituted by the Department of Science and Technology and administered by Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, at a function here on Tuesday.
The awardees were selected by a committee appointed by the Chief Minister and consisting of internationally renowned scientists.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a citation and a memento.
