National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) has paid Rs 6.46 crore in royalty payments for the year 2015-16 for the technologies it has licensed.
The Chairman and Managing Director, H Purushotham, handed over a cheque to the Director-General, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Girish Sahni, in the presence of Minister for Science & Technology, Harsh Vardhan.
The NRDC, under the Ministry, is involved in commercialisation of indigenous technologies developed by various public-funded. national institutes and universities.
Purushotham said NRDC is playing an importing role in the Start-up India and Make in India Missions of the government by way of transferring innovative technologies to entrepreneurs.
