Rafael Nadal is into the Australian Open semi-finals for the fourth time after defeating Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (9-7), 6-2.
The Spanish world number one overcame serious blisters on his left racquet hand and a tough attack from Dimitrov to reach the final four after not playing in the 2013 event due to injury.
He needed four match points to advance. He next plays either Roger Federer or Andy Murray.
