An opinion poll by Times Now and VMR has predicted a hung Assembly in Karnataka. It said that out of 224 seats the Congress will win 91 seats, the BJP, 89 and the JD(S) 40. The poll gives four seats to other parties.
The poll said 46.15 per cent of the total number of respondents favoured Congress leader and present Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as the next Chief Minister. The BJP’s CM face BS Yeddyurappa got 31.76 per cent and former chief minister and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy is favoured by 17.63 per cent.
