The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) has signed a memorandum for ‘French-India PhD exchange programme in management’ with Rennes School of Business, France.
Under this programme, the selected PhD students from TAPMI will pursue their thesis each year and will develop ties for potential joint research collaboration, while master students/PhD from Rennes School of Business will follow two semesters at TAPMI.
Quoting Dayashankar Maurya, head of international relations of TAPMI, a press release said that the move shows a clear intent from the Rennes School of Business to enable a long-term strategy towards international joint researches where the School will collaborate at an early stage in its journey. With 90 per cent of the faculty members coming from 40 countries around the world, the French triple-accredited school is an ideal partner for its international counterpart in ensuring academic excellence, he said.
The release said that the memorandum was signed at the first Indo-French knowledge summit for university, scientific and technology cooperation in New Delhi recently.
