Karnataka will go to polls today after weeks of rigorous campaigning by the BJP and Congress. The State government has declared a holiday today to encourage maximum voter participation to choose their next Chief Minister. Around 4.9 crore voters are expected to vote. The results of the single phase elections will be declared on May 15.
Iraq’s parliamentary elections will be held today to decide on their new Prime Minister and President. More than 18 million people will be voting to decide the representatives of 329 members. The elections were supposed to be held in September 2017. However, it got delayed due to civil war with the ISIS.
