Interacting with BJP office bearers of five Lok Sabha constituencies — Betul, Machhlishahr, Mahasamund, Satna and Rajsamand – through video conferencing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the BJP workers should use technology to popularise various schemes of the Centre.

Modi expressed happiness on building the statue of unity and said it will be a fitting tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He advised the BJP workers and leaders in the constituencies to not lose heart over the “abusive language” used by the Opposition. “He exhorted them to rise above the opposition and work harder with qualities BJP is known for; the qualities of love, hard work and sacrifice. He added that just like the symbol of the party - Lotus, BJP will blossom even in the most challenging of the environments,” a release from the BJP said.

Modi claimed that the UPA was inactive on the One Rank One Pension scheme and his government made it a reality. “He also compared the situation of just two mobile manufacturing factories in 2014 to the present situation of large number of mobile factories, creating more employment opportunities and initiating a mobile revolution,” the release said.

He asked the BJP members to popularise the Centre’s schemes through the use of mobile technology. “He asked them to share videos of the benefits accrued by ordinary citizens through government schemes. He also encouraged the booth workers to compare the achievements of the NDA government with the past governments, in terms of welfare of people through initiatives such as houses constructed, new electricity and gas connections provided, and new infrastructure built,” the BJP statement said.
