Swatch has launched the Chrono Plastic range of watches in ten new colours — black, light brown, grey, anthracite and white, as well as orange, red, blue, bright pink and light blue.

Made of plastic and silicone, all the watches have crisply printed digits upon their dials in colours that contrast with the overall shades used throughout the 42mm diameter cases and straps.

The Chrono Plastic range is priced at Rs 5,650.

Precision cooking

Electrolux has launched induction cooktops that are claimed to be safe, precise and powerful.

As there are no naked flames, the residual heat in the induction zones is also supposed to be substantially reduced.

Additionally, it is claimed that if there is no pot on the induction zone, the zone does not heat up, avoiding accidents that can occur when cooktops are left on. There is also the choice of a combination cooktop that combines induction technology with conventional electric cooking.

The induction cooktops are priced from Rs 18,000 and are available at retail outlets in the metros.

Scent of rain

Secret Temptation has launched three cool fragrances for the monsoon season.

‘Mystery’ is supposed to have a sweet and flowery scent of ylang and strong floral notes of rose, lily and jasmine with mild woody and musky notes.

‘Play’ has tones of floral fruity.

Neon has the freshness of mandarin and bergamot, mixed with sharp pine.

Priced at Rs 150 for 150 ml the deodorants are available at general trade and chemists across the country.

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd has launched an enhanced version of a metered dose inhaler (MDI) with dose counter,. The dose counter keeps track of the number of doses left, thus helping the patients take the right number of doses. The inhaler has a locking system which prevents drug wastage when the inhaler is not in use.

The Seretide® Evohaler® is indicated for management of asthma and COPD in patients above 4 years of age. It comes in two strengths, 250mcg and 125mcg, priced Rs 405 and Rs 298 respectively.

Charged to purify

Eureka Forbes has launched AquaSure Kitanu Magnet that is based on Nano technology and is a 100 per cent chemical-free technology.

Each Kitanu Magnet cartridge contains over 100 billions charged sites that are claimed to remove visible and invisible physical impurities from drinking water. It also traps chemical impurities and other organics to eliminate odour and enhance taste. Kitanu Magnet is also claimed to eliminate bacteria, virus and cysts to prevent water borne diseases. The range is priced from Rs 1,490 to Rs 16,999.
