‘Ready for Hillary’ has more than 10,000 grass root donors who have collected $1 million in June, though the presidential elections are more than three years away and Clinton is yet to decide on her candidature for the 2016 presidential elections.
‘Ready for Hillary’, which is a group of supporters who want Hillary Clinton to run for the 2016 presidential elections, yesterday announced that more than 10,000 supporters have owned a piece of an historic grassroots effort to encourage her to run for President.
“The Ready for Hillary movement began with a P.O. Box and two volunteers, and today it is more than a half-million strong,” said Ellen Tauscher, former Under Secretary of State.
The former California Congresswoman said from the beginning, the movement has been about the grassroots supporters across the country who are showing Hillary that she has an army of supporters behind her.
In its biannual Federal Election Commission report ‘Ready for Hillary’ yesterday showed $1.25 million in contributions, $1 million of which was raised in June alone.
Contributions ranged from $1.00 to $25,000.00.
Ready for Hillary’s policy is to cap contributions at $25,000.
The group sent its first fund raising solicitation on May 16 and launched its National Finance Council on May 29.
“New financial supporters, including more than 500 in the past 24 hours, are now constantly joining us at readyforhillary.com,” noted ‘Ready for Hillary’ Executive Director Adam Parkhomenko.
“Every day, we are more and more overwhelmed by this outpouring of support, and we are aggressively investing these resources to expand the movement encouraging Hillary to run,” he added.
