The ratio of corporate profits to India’s GDP based on Nifty 500 companies stands at a decade high of 4.3 per cent for the year 2022. The ratio rose from a two-decade low of 2.2 per cent in the year 2020 on account of corporate profits rising faster than that of GDP during this period.
