Aston Martin has tied up with Red Bull Racing to build what could potentially become the world's fastest production car.
Little is currently known about the car other than its codename – AM-RB 001. It is expected that between 99 and 150 units of the hypercar will be produced, including 25 track-only versions. Technical specifications will trickle out eventually but the rumour mill is already pegging the car as a competitor for Bugatti and Ferrari’s best. The car will be manufactured at Gaydon facility in the U.K.
This is the second high-profile tie-up that the British manufacturer has announced in recent times. It made a pact with Chinese technology company LeEco in February with the intention of producing its first electric car.
The car maker also announced recently that it would be building a facility in Wales. The brand is pushing to return to profitability by 2018.
