My favourite airport: Kastrup airport, Copenhagen
What I like about it: I like it because it is well-designed, keeping in mind the passenger flow in conjunction with a very relevant blend of retail offerings .. for both arriving and departing passengers.
They have a mix of excellent cafes, sushi bars, fast food, department stores alongside high-end retail and the usual essential services of money exchange, etc. They have done an excellent job of addressing every need that a passenger might have, so much so that it is easy to forget that one is actually at an airport and not a mall. The walk-through is spacious and comforting to the sight line.
What could be improved: Perhaps having larger, obvious signage guiding the passenger to the baggage belts. It is very easy to get engulfed in retail therapy, thereby forgetting the waiting suitcase altogether!
