1

Watch what you eat: Everything we eat impacts our body in a certain way. Because of lack of time, work stress or craving, we may end up binging on unhealthy food. Keep temptation aside, what’s not healthy for the body shouldn’t be had.

2

Don’t break the fitness regime: Fitness regime is like brushing our teeth, one day we miss it and it starts stinking. Take charge of your routine. A disciplined fitness approach will have a positive impact not only on your body but your mind too.

3

Go easy but consistent: It’s absolutely fine to get inspired by someone’s fitness. But to replicate the same changes in your body overnight isn’t a wise decision. Each body responds differently (even to similar workouts.) Give it time and stay consistent. Remember ‘Rome was not built in a day!’

4

Recovery cycle: One aspect that we overlook in a big way is the sleeping pattern. Our body requires 6-7 hours of sound sleep daily. Proper sleep is the only way to give the body a chance to repair and recover. Set a routine. Don’t let any external factor affect your sleep cycle.

5

Surprise your body at least once a week: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. And in this case ‘Jack’ isn’t you — it’s your body. It needs to be shaken up once every week. Our body gets used to a particular diet and exercise sooner than we can imagine. Don’t let stagnation set in. Have a cheat day. Surprise your body!
