Regency Ceramics net up at Rs 18.43 cr

REGENCY Ceramics Ltd (RCL) has posted a turnover of Rs 183.39 crore and a net profit of Rs 18.43 crore during 2003-04. The company's earnings per equity share of Rs 10 each last fiscal stood at Rs 13.56.

As per the unaudited financial results, both the turnover as well as profit of the company last fiscal have increased compared to the turnover of Rs 159.71 crore and net profit of Rs 12.81 crore registered during 2002-03.The company had incurred an expenditure of Rs 139.68 crore and provided Rs 11.10 crore towards interest charges, Rs 8.33 crore for depreciation and Rs 3.12 crore for taxation during the year under consideration.

In the fourth quarter of 2003-04, the company had posted a turnover of Rs 50.66 crore and a net profit of Rs 2.28 crore. The commercial production of the company's one-lakh tonnes per annum expansion project commenced from March 15, this year.
