Additional Lufthansa flight from Bangalore

BANGALORE: Taking advantage of the open skies policy, Lufthansa German Airlines will introduce an additional flight from Bangalore on January 7, taking its total number of flights from the city to seven.

On the Bangalore-Frankfurt route, Lufthansa operates five flights. The sixth flight commenced operations from December 8. With these extra two flights a week between Bangalore and Frankfurt, the total number of flights on this route will increase to seven for the period December 2004 to March 2005.

LH 755 will depart from Bangalore at 02:40 and arrive in Frankfurt at 08:20.

Mr Werner Heesen, General Manager Passenger Sales India & Director, South Asia, Lufthansa German Airlines, said, "We are encouraged by the stable traffic growth between India and Germany, and are pleased to get the chance to increase the number of flights connecting the two countries. Travellers will benefit from our convenient connections via Frankfurt and Munich to our global network."
