SBT in pact with Kuwait exchange

STATE Bank of Travancore (SBT) has entered into a rupee drawing arrangement with UAE Exchange Centre in Kuwait.

Under the arrangement, non-resident Indians in Kuwait can make remittances to more than 300 designated branches of SBT in India through the UAE Exchange Centre, according to a statement from the bank.

With the establishment of this arrangement, SBT has rupee drawing tie-ups with a total of six exchange houses in Kuwait.

The arrangement with UAE Exchange Centre will come into effect from Monday (February 21).
