Shangri-La Hotels to become fully operational by Nov

New Delhi , Sept. 14

SHANGRI-La Hotels and Resorts, a leading luxury hotel chain in the Asia-Pacific region, opened its doors here today.

"We have had the soft launch of the hotel today offering about 220 rooms. It will become fully functional by the end of October or early November," the hotels General Manager, Mr Gilbert Jung, said.

The hotel has a total of 323 rooms and suites. The $70 million property was designed by the Hong Kong-based Leese Robertson and Freeman Designers Ltd.

Shangri-La is to manage the hotel in an agreement with Hotel Excelsior Private Ltd.
