Hyderabad , April 25

Xius, the telecom division of Megasoft Ltd., has bagged a three-year $22-25 million (Rs100 crore) deal from Xero Mobile, to deploy its telecom platform Voise.

Voise or Virtual Operator Integrated Services Engine is a platform which the company recently unveiled at the GSM conference in Barcelona.

This mobile application platform enables a mobile virtual network operator like Xero to offer mobile services without actually owning a network.

In the US and Europe, mobile virtual network operators are emerging as providers of telecom services.

They do not own any network but partner with existing players to offer servicesl; hence they are referred as virtual service providers.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the Managing Director of Megasoft, Mr G.V. Kumar, said, "This is a long-term deal and we expect to offer support services for Xero Mobile that combines the features of advertising into mobile services."
