Our Bureau

Chennai, May 23

Sundaram Business Services (SBS), the BPO arm of Sundaram Finance Ltd, will hire over 200 people this year for its city centre. The expansion has been necessitated by new account wins and growth in existing customers, both domestic and overseas, according to a company press release. The company will hire accountants and management graduates. It has over 450 employees in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. Mr Harsha Viji, the company's Senior Vice-President, said in the release that over the last two years the company has partnered with leading "super-fund administrators" in Australia, which have a large number of self-managed superannuation funds. Currently, the company services over 1,000 funds, and the number is likely to double in the next 12 months.
