Our Bureau

Hyderabad, July 14

Four engineers of Indian origin have collectively secured the United States Patent Office recognition for Roamware Inc in its pioneering work in mobile traffic redirection.

Traffic redirection is the ability for a network operator to redirect subscribers to the most advantageous network whilst roaming abroad. The patent is the result of dedicated work from five Roamware team members — John Jiang, Avnish Chauhan, Subhabrata Biswas, Bahadur Bhambhani and Alex Rodrigues.

The newly issued patent, entitled "Method and System for Cellular Network Traffic Redirection" is a milestone in Roamware's patent practice, marking its first issued patent.

The company currently has an additional 39 unique patent applications on file in the US, with a total of over 60 in progress worldwide.
