ELCINA Electronic Industry Association of India announced Mr V.N. Dhoot, Chairman, Videocon Industries Ltd, as the "Electronics Man of the Year" for his contribution to the globalisation of the electronics industry.

This was announced at the 31st ELCINA Awards for Excellence coinciding with the 2nd ELCOMP India 2006 exhibition and conference being held in the Capital. Earlier in the day, Mr Vinod Sharma, President, ELCINA was re-elected for his second term.
