Oracle introduces academy programme

Oracle India has tied up with Karnataka's Directorate of Technical Education to introduce the Oracle Academy programme in 100 polytechnic institutes in the State.

The Oracle Academy's $5.4-million investment in-kind grant will provide the polytechnics with curriculum, software and professional development over the next two years, offering students technology and business skills. This tie-up will further extend the reach and impact of the Oracle Academy in India, touching more than three-lakh students from over 200 educational institutions. In the first phase, 50 polytechnic institutes will commence teaching the Oracle Academy course curriculum in the next academic semester, starting in early 2007.
