Mumbai March 27 Tata Consultancy Services said on Tuesday that it will sell its 40 per cent stake in Sitel India to US-based Sitel Corporation for $17.732 million (Rs 80 crore). Sitel India, formed in 2000, is an equal joint venture between the Tata Group and Sitel Corp. Tata International Ltd, which holds a 10 per cent stake in the joint venture, has also agreed to sell its stake for Rs 20 crore, said a statement from TCS. The joint venture company provides voice-based contact centre BPO services from India. TCS was not available for comment on the modalities of the stake sale or the reasons for the same.
