Bangalore May 14

CIPSA-RIC, a manufacturer of printed circuit boards, plans to invest $10 million in expanding its production capacity by four times to 40,000 sq. per metre per month. The company's third plant will be ready for operation near Bangalore by March 2008, CIPSA said.

CIPSA clocked a turnover of $10 million in its first year of operations and is aiming to double its revenues by March 2008. CIPSA manufactures single, double and multi-layer PCBs, catering to OEMs in the automotive, energy, industrial automation, EMS providers, telecommunications and peripheral sectors.

CIPSA-RIC India Vice-Chairman, Mr Anil Gupta, said the company has asked for an additional 15 acres from the Karnataka Government to expand its operations further. "We have received favourable response for our expansion plans. If all goes fine, we have plans to go for an SEZ unit around the year 2009," he said.
