Monster launches video resumes

Our Bureau

To help speed up the recruitment process

Hyderabad June 8 Job portal Monster India has introduced a video resume uploading facility giving a whole new face to e-recruitment and Internet based job search for recruiters and job seekers.

This feature provides quick and easy uploading of video resumes to Monster India Web site. Job seekers can now upload their video resumes in the same way as text resumes, thereby allowing the job seeker to personally market oneself by presenting a resume and a video that speaks directly to employers.

The Vice-President, Product Technology, Monster.com India, Mr Vikas Agarwal, in a statement said: "The new feature allows job seekers to speak directly to potential employers and increase their chances of finding their dream job."

The video resume uploading facility is expected to change the way employers search for candidates over the Internet. By seeing the candidate's presentation skills online, it will help in speeding up the recruitment process and in reducing the costs on preliminary rounds of interviewing.

The video resumes will allow recruiters to do a preliminary screening of the candidates without getting involved in the onerous processes of interviews.
