TO make the top brass of public sector units stay tuned to global business trends, International Management Institute (IMI) and Standing Conference of Public Enterprise (SCOPE) are jointly conducting a programme on `Global Leadership.'
The participants of the three-week programme will spend one week in a formal classroom at IMI, Delhi. They will also visit institutions such as the European Commission in Brussels, the World Trade Organisation, and the International Labour Organisation in Geneva.
"Participants need to be united in sharing positions of leadership in challenging political and economic environments, and also try to promote equitable and sustainable change in their organisations," said Mr Ajit Prasad, Professor of Strategic Management and Programme Director, IMI.
The participants will focus on successful leadership, and the opportunities in open markets and assess the risks inherent in transitions to market economies. Public sector undertakings participating in the programme include Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, National Thermal Power Corporation, and National Hydro Power Corporation.
